The West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) reminds schools that Policy 7211, Resolution of Formal Complaints, establishes a formal process for members of the public to submit complaints alleging violations of state law by schools or county boards of education. The latest version of this policy—effective July 12, 2025—includes clear procedures at the school, county, and state levels, along with defined timelines for response and resolution.
