Twelve Students from Mingo Central and Tug Valley High Schools are participating in the first cohort of the Mingo Early College Academy, a collaboration between Southern WV Community and Technical College and the Mingo County School District. Students who complete two years in ECA have an opportunity to earn an Associate’s degree in University Transfer, or general studies courses. Students attend classes on the Williamson campus of SWVCTC Monday through Thursday mornings, and return to their high schools for more course work.
