Announcement Regarding Williamson PK8 Field Trip, Wednesday, October 9, 2024
This is an announcement from the Mingo County School District about an incident during a field trip this morning. A Mingo County schoolbus carrying students from Williamson Pre-K-8 for a reward field trip, struck a deer on U.S. Highway 52, yielding no apparent injuries and causing minor damage to the school bus. The school nurse and emergency services assessed the condition of the students. The students were allowed to continue their trip on another bus with parental consent.
