Hello everyone!  I am Bethany Hatfield and I have been teaching for seven years.  I am currently teaching first grade at Matewan PreK8.  I graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Masters Degree in Reading Literacy.  Teaching is my passion, but ELA is my favorite subject to teach.  I love seeing and interacting with the students every day.  My favorite part of each school day is standing by my door as each student walks into my room and former students passing by.  I am greeted with many hugs, 'good morning', and high fives by many of the students.

My hobbies include running, traveling, baking, and enjoy my three sons!
