Mingo County Schools Summer Feeding Program (2026)

The Mingo County School District is again sponsoring the federally funded Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for the 2026 summer season. This program provides free breakfast and lunch to eligible children.

Eligibility

  • Open to all children ages 18 and under who would like to participate.

  • No requirement to live in the district or attend Mingo County Schools; however, participation is through the district’s program.

Program Sites & Hours

  • Mingo Central High School (MCHS):

    • Breakfast: 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

    • Lunch: 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.

    • Dates: Monday–Friday through July 12, 2026 (closed July 4 for the holiday).

  • Non-congregate meal pickup (weekly boxes) is available at:

    • Dingess Elementary

    • Gilbert PK-8

    • Kermit PK-8

    • Matewan PK-8

    • Days: Wednesdays, starting June 12, 2026, through July 31, 2026.

How to Participate

  • Families or individuals should contact the Mingo County Schools Child Nutrition Office to register for meals.
