🐺 16 Days Until the Pack Returns! Every child has something that makes them light up. Something they love. Something that gives them confidence. Something that makes them say, “This is MY thing!” 🌟 The Wolfpack Difference #9: Every Child Has a Place to Shine. At Williamson PK-8, we believe learning extends far beyond the traditional classroom. Whether it’s on the field, on the stage, through music and art, in leadership and service, or through academics and future-ready opportunities, we want our PACK to explore, discover, and find their place. Because success doesn’t look the same for every child—and neither does their opportunity to shine. Our job is to help them discover the gifts they already have… and give them opportunities to use them. ❤️ 🎶 Tonight, our Wolfpack Band is just one beautiful example of the many ways our students can find their thing and proudly share it with others! There’s more than one way to shine. Find YOUR place in the Pack. That’s the Wolfpack Difference. 🐾 Tomorrow, another piece of The Wolfpack Difference… the Pack is almost back! #WolfpackNation #TheWolfpackDifference #KidsFirst #OnePackOnePurpose #Top10Together #WolfpackPride #ilovemywvpublicschool

🐺❤️ A NEW CHAPTER. A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE. ONE PACK. ❤️🐺 Wolfpack Nation, we have another very special introduction to make! Please help us welcome MRS. KIMBERLEY HARRISON to Williamson PK-8, where she will be joining our Special Education Department! Mrs. Harrison brings an incredible knowledge and experience to the Pack. This will be her 7th year teaching in Mingo County, following a remarkable 31-year career in Virginia as both an educator and coordinator. Her educational journey includes three associate degrees from Southwest Virginia Community College, a bachelor’s degree in Specific Learning Disabilities from Longwood University, and a master’s degree in Mild and Moderate Disabilities from The University of Southern Mississippi. After retiring from Virginia and relocating when her husband, Mike, accepted a position in Pikeville, Mrs. Harrison discovered that her work with children wasn’t quite finished yet—and we are certainly glad it wasn’t! Family is a huge part of her life, along with a house full of four-legged family members—including Rocky, her very spoiled rescue pup, three stray cats who apparently decided they were moving in, and two grand-puppies! She is also a proud mom and grandmother, with a granddaughter currently attending college. Mrs. Harrison says she is looking forward to the year ahead and meeting everyone at Williamson. 🐺 WELCOME TO THE PACK, MRS. HARRISON! Your experience, heart, and commitment to students have found a new home at Williamson. ❤️ Kids FIRST 🐺 One Pack • One Purpose 🏆 Top 10 Together #WolfpackNation #WelcomeToThePack #KidsFIRST #OnePackOnePurpose #ilovemywvpublicschool

Just a few reminders for our NEW Mingo County Pre-K program: Children must be 4 by June 30, 2026. Unless a child has an IEP, he/she will not be placed if the birthday falls after June 30, 2026. This means if a child turns 4 on or after July 1, 2026, he/she will not be placed in PK without an IEP. If your child attended HEADSTART last year and wants to attend PK, you must fill out an application. They were not automatically rolled into PK. Students are not “retained” in headstart. We would love to see your child’s smiling face in our schools!

🐺 17 Days Until the Pack Returns! It takes more than one person, one classroom, or one job to make a school feel like home. ❤️ The Wolfpack Difference #8: Every Role Matters. At Williamson PK-8, every member of our team brings something important to the Pack. Some teach. Some feed. Some clean. Some organize. Some protect. Some encourage. Different roles. Different responsibilities. One purpose—our kids. From our classrooms to our cafeteria, our offices to our hallways, and everywhere in between, each person plays a part in creating a place where students can learn, grow, feel supported, and belong. Every person matters. Every role matters. It takes the whole Pack. That’s the Wolfpack Difference. ❤️🐾 Tomorrow, another piece of The Wolfpack Difference… the Pack is almost back! #WolfpackNation #TheWolfpackDifference #KidsFirst #OnePackOnePurpose #Top10Together#ilovemywvpublicschool
