2. Review of Previous Concerns

Active Shooter / Outside Drill Procedures: Addressed by the Safety Team; noted that the Pre-K playground gate is the best escape route for back playground safety.



Intercom Inaudible Outside: Work order placed for 4 intercoms, assigned to William Hensley.



Front Gates Remaining Locked: Reviewed regarding facility security protocols. Mr. P spoke about safety due to current walkers.



Basketball Court Safety Concerns: Work order submitted for wooden posts to be taken down.



3. Stakeholder Discussion

Parent and Community Involvement & Events:




Fall Festival: Parent volunteers needed; parent approvals are not yet approved.



PK–4 Assemblies & Class Events: Parents expressed that they want to be more involved in class events and assemblies. This information will be presented to Mr. Blackburn.



For safety during events, parents attending Pre-K through 4 events must sign students out directly after the program. Students will be sent back to the classroom before they are signed out.

4. Special Topics

Fall Festival for Perfect Attendance: Presented by Mr. P, who asked parents to help if possible. Parent representatives informed him that parents have not been put on the agenda to be approved for volunteering yet.



Title I Funding Updates: Title funds (federal dollars) are used across the entire school.



Levy Funding Updates: Levy funds are allocated to athletics and spent in-house directly for the kids.

Today at 1:25 PM, Williamson PK-8 will conduct a scheduled emergency lockdown safety drill in coordination with the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department and other emergency response personnel. This is a routine, precautionary exercise designed to help our students and staff practice important safety procedures and strengthen our school’s emergency preparedness. The safety and well-being of our students and staff will ALWAYS be our top priority.
