• The West Virginia General Summative Assessment (WVGSA) Grades 3-8

The West Virginia General Summative Assessment (WVGSA) is an online summative assessment administered to students in grades 3-8 in the spring of each school year. The WVGSA measures student performance on the state content standards and provides guidelines on what students should know and be able to do at each grade level. Students are assessed in English language arts (ELA) and math in grades 3-8. Students in grades 5 and 8 are also assessed in science. Mingo County Schools will administer the WVGSA during the state testing window, March 29 – May 28, 2021. Specific dates for testing at each school will be released shortly. Results will be shared with students and parents/guardians as soon as they become available.
