Ms. Connie Hager RN, LPN Instructor

Connie Hager is a LPN instructor at Mingo Extending Learning Center. She has an Associates Degree in Applied Health from Southern West Community and Technical College, and is currently attending Marshall University advancing her education. She started her career at MELC under a different name in the CNA program in 1995. She is BLS, ACLS, PALS, and BLS instructor certified, and has worked in the nursing field over 20 years.

She started her career in nursing at MELC, went on to LPN school at Ralph R. Wills Technical Center in 2000, and then graduated with her RN in 2001. During her years as a nurse she has worked in all aspects of nursing (ER, OB, PEDS, Rehab, Telemetry, Med/Surg, Skilled Nursing, Chemo) as a floor nurse, charge nurse, admission/discharge nurse, shift coordinator, and nurse manager. She brings this experience from the health care workplace to the classroom.

Ms. Hager appreciates the chance to use her experience in the nursing field to prepare the students for the endless careers in nursing. Taking her experience and understanding of critical thinking to enhance student’s compassion with the skills needed for success in the healthcare field has always been a personal goal.
