Prehistoric Playing Cards
Design part of a set of "Prehistoric Playing Cards." The theme of the card set must be "Prehistoric Art." Your work does not have to be based on the prehistory of European Art but can be global and come from any culture. You can use any media that you have available. Examples of this assignment are in the resources section of this page. These examples do not have a prehistoric theme but YOUR works must show a prehistoric theme.
Guidelines
- Must pick three cards to create and name; example Queen of Hearts, Jack of Diamonds, 3 of Spades.
- Each design must be no larger than 6" tall and no smaller than 4" tall.
- You may use any material available; examples an old envelope, pencil, crayon, glue, cardboard of any variety etc. Do not purchase new materials for this assignment, use what you have on hand.
- You must do a sketchbook and a separate sketchbook assignment with the same rules will appear in the Open LMS.
- Each card must have a prehistoric theme and the theme must be different for each card.
- Each design must be pleasing to the eye and have elements that go off the page.
