Ms. Pamela Booth

Ms. Booth is a graduate of Marshall University. She has a BA in English Language Arts 5-12, a minor in Social Studies 5-9, and a MA in Reading Literacy Pre-K - Adult. She has 29 years of teaching experience, the last 18 at Tug Valley High School. Ms. Booth teaches AP English Literature and Composition, English 12, Theater, and English 10. Ms. Booth is the Academic Sponsor, Theater Director, and a member of numerous academic committees. She was named teacher of the year by the faculty in 2018. She will be offering both creative writing and oral communication courses this year. She taught at the college level for several years. She has taught English Language Arts at every level from 6th grade to 12th grade throughout her career. Ms. Booth has taught in several schools throughout Mingo County but finds the high school level her favorite. She co-founded the Fall Arts Bash, which is in its tenth year. Ms. Booth is a strong advocate for students, a believer in the power of the written word, and a connoisseur of various kinds of music. She is a mother, grandmother, and Sunday school teacher. She is greatly involved in her church and community. She is most often found with her family. She is approachable and always willing to help. Do not hesitate to reach out to her for assistance.
