Ms. Pamela Booth
Ms. Booth is a graduate of Marshall University. She has a BA in English Language Arts 5-12, a minor in Social Studies 5-9, and a MA in Reading Literacy Pre-K - Adult. She has 28 years of teaching experience, the last 17 at Tug Valley High School. Ms. Booth teaches AP English Literature and Composition, English 12, Theater, and English 10. Ms. Booth is the Academic Sponsor, Theater Director, and a member of numerous academic committees. She was named teacher of the year by the faculty in 2018. She has had a steady growth in the number of students gaining college credit through her AP Lit. classes. She taught at the college level for several years. She has taught English Language Arts at every level from 6th-12th grade over the course of her career. Ms. Booth has taught in several schools throughout Mingo County but finds the high school level to be her favorite. She is a co-founder of the Fall Arts Bash, which is in its tenth year. Ms. Booth is a strong advocate for students, a believer in the power of the written word, and a connoisseur of a vast variety of music. She is a mother, grandmother, and Sunday school teacher.
