Josh Copley Named USSYP Delegate

🎉We would like to congratulate Joshua Copley for being selected as one of only two representatives from West Virginia and one of just 102 student leaders from across the country for the prestigious US Senate Youth Program! 🏆
Joshua's hard work, leadership, and dedication have earned him a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend an entire week in Washington, D.C. this coming March. He’ll have the chance to meet with key members of the federal government across all three branches, and all expenses will be paid. This is such an incredible achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of you, Joshua! 🌟
Best of luck in D.C.! We know you will represent WV and your peers with excellence! 🇺🇸👏 #USSYP #Leadership #ProudMoment #WestVirginia #studentleadership
Josh's reaction to learning that he has earned this prestigious opportunity:
"I feel incredibly blessed and thankful to have been chosen as one of the delegates for the United States Senate Youth Program from West Virginia. It's truly a dream come true, and I can't help but look back on the incredible people who have shaped my journey. I owe so much to those who have impacted my life including my family, friends, teachers, mentors, and everyone who has always believed in me and encouraged me to be best version of myself. Tug Valley High School has prepared me in so many ways I never imagined, equipping me with the knowledge and confidence to take on this role. I genuinely believe that a bright future lies ahead for everyone who has called Tug Valley their school! To my friends, family, supportive teachers, dedicated school staff, community members, fellow students, anyone who has ever impacted me or spoken well of me, I cannot thank you enough. Most of all I want to thank God who has blessed me so much in my life with everything I have ever done. Your faith in me has made this moment possible, and I am forever grateful. This opportunity means so much more than just a title; it allows me to give my community a voice and to show that we should never be underestimated because of where we come from."
